EMPLOYEES AND GOVERNMENT SHOULD FIND THE SOLUTION THROUGH NEGOTIATIONS: MIRWAIZ
Srinagar May 28: (Only Kashmir): Due
to the continuous tug of war between the government and employees, it is the
common man who is suffering endlessly.
The people who have fought
relentlessly for the liberation of Kashmir have to face the brunt of
inefficient state system, corruption, and ever-increasing inflation. On the
other hand, constant strikes by the employees and governments callous attitude
to meet their demands have only added to the daily woes of common man.
The corrupt system, striking
employees and negative government attitudes combined along with oppressive
policies of government have broken the back of common man.
This was stated by All parties
Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Dr Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement.
Mirwaiz strongly condemned the government
action on the striking employees. He said oppression, detentions, beatings,
nocturnal raids, and spreading fear by government agencies was unacceptable and
condemnable. He said both the employees and government should find the solution
of the problems through negotiations.
APHC chairman further made it clear
the government and employees should know their rights and duties. He said
Kashmiris are the worst sufferers and every possible effort should be
undertaken to provide relief to common masses.
Expressing astonishment, Mirwaiz
said if government have already entered into agreements with the employees on
basic issues, why it was now retracting from its stand.
He urged government to consider the
justified demands of the employees and thus provide relief to the common
Kashmiris.(OK)
