MANMOHAN SINGH LIKELY TO INVITE KASHMIRI SEPARATISTS FOR TALKS

Srinagar May 28 (Only Kashmir): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is likely to invite the Kashmir separatists group and all low profile separatist leaders which include Azam Inqlabi, Asiya Andrabi and Hilal Ahmad War and many others for round table conference during his visit to Valley. However in the wake of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit, both the factions of Hurriyat Conference as well as JKLF have adopted silence.
This will be the first interaction between Jammu and Kashmir's separatist group and the United Progressive Alliance after 2008-10 public agitation. However, yet the invitation has not been extended officially.
Pertinently state Congress Chief Prof Saifuddin Soz Monday advised Hurriyat Conference leaders to talk to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the latter’s visit to Kashmir next month. “The doors of dialogue from Prime Minister’s side are open. I think Hurriyat should talk and if they need any facilitation from me, I am ready. Dialogue will end political suffocation,” he added.
Meanwhile today MLA Langate Engineer Rashid Tuesday said that it will be a futile exercise for Hurriyat to meet Prime Minister of India during his Kashmir visit. “India is not sincere and Prof. Saif-u-Din Soz must explain for what he has extended invitation to Hurriyat to meet PM of India. Did Manmohan Singh act when Mufti Mohammad Syed and Omar Abdullah write a letter to him seeking the mortal remains of Afzal Guroo back to Kashmir,”
Engineer Rashid said that Soz has no authority to invite Hurriyat for talks with Prime Minister. Mere meeting the PM will not resolve the issue. Let India declare Kashmir as a dispute and talk to Hurriyat,” he said.
