GHULAM NABI KHAYAL NOMINATED TO 8TH WORKING BODY OF THE NCPUL-GEN COUNCIL

New Delhi June 20 (Only Kashmir): Sahitya Akademi Award winner, renowned Kashmiri poet, writer and researcher, Ghulam Nabi Khayal has been included in the newly formed 8th Working Body of the National Council for promotion of Urdu language functioning under the Human Resources Development ministry of the Central government.
Besides Mr Khayal, the 20-member Committee comprises of eminent and reputed Urdu writers and scholars from all over India.
Other members of the Council having a tenure of three years include P A Inamdar, Mohammad Abdul Hakeem Azhari,
Mohammad Haleem Khan, Feroz Bakht Ahmad, Akhtarul Wasey, Roop Kishen Bhat, Wahab Ashrafi, Parvez Fazeel Qadiri, Syed Mohammad Ashraf, Aziz Ahmad Siddiqi, Aziz Burni, Hafiz Matloob Karim, Farid Ahmad, M Farooq Engineer, Syed Parvez, S N Pathan, Zahid Ali Khan, Sheikh Aleemuddin and Obaidullah Sharif.
Several local literary and cultural organizations have expressed pleasure over this selection of Mr Khayal and extended their gratitude to Dr Hameedullah Bhat, director of the Council for this appropriate selection of a celebrity into this prestigious Committee.
Mr Khayal has already authored 30 books in Urdu, Kashmiri and English languages.
