ADDS SHOULD BE ROUTED THROUGH INFORMATION DEPTT. :GOVT

Jammu, Dec 07 (Only Kashmir): The Finance Department has issued a circular whereunder strict instructions have been issued to all the departments and government owned corporations not to issue government advertisements to print and electronic media directly and all the advertisements are required to be routed through Information Department. All the treasury officers have been directed not to entertain any bill on account of charges presented to them on account of advertisements issued directly by the Print and electronic media.
The balance payment available with all the departments and corporations under the head of “Advertisement and publicity” whether under Non-Plan budget or under IEC and “work contingency” portion meant for publicity purpose under plan budget has been frozen and the same shall not be available for expenditure by the concerned departments. The amount after reconciliation shall be transferred to Information Department.
