AFKP OBSERVES INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY
Srinagar Dec 11 (Only Kashmir): On the eve of world human rights day, a daylong conference Cum Group Discussion on the topic “Sufferings of Kashmiri Youth” was held by Association of Families of Kashmiri Prisoners at Hotel Grand Mumtaz Srinagar in which the high caliber youth of valley studying in different Institutions and budding journalists (included Editor Only Kashmir, Bilal Bashir Bhat) illuminated the program with their thoughts. Speaking on the occasion,
Anjum Zamrud Habib, chairperson and founder of AFKP gave the welcome speech and called upon the youth to actively take part in different intellectual endeavors that would bring liberation to Kashmir and narrated the experience of her prison days and laid emphasis on the sufferings of youth. “My youth have suffered a lot and faced brute form of suppression from Indian state for raising their voices against illegal occupation. I call upon the youth to raise their voice in one unison for achieving our desired noble goals”, Said, Zamrud.
Rameez Makhdoomi, a young Journalist and editor Kashmiriwomen.com, said, “We need to have an intellectual platform under the educated face to achieve the just resolution of our conflict and termed political sufferings as the biggest form of sufferings and said it is in our genetics to seek freedom”. Uzma Falak, a young Women journalist said, “We need to memorize and keep a strong memory of the brutalities that have been perpetrated against us for raising our voices against injustice. Memory plays a vital part in struggles”. Mohammad Tauseef Mir, a Young journalist was the anchor of program. O the occasion a resolution was passed in one voice by participants with regard to continuing the intellectual discourses under the guardianship of Zamrud Habib and to awaken the world community about plight of Kashmir and work in union and with coordination and determination to achieve results for “Kashmir cause” and boost personal talent to achieve liberation for Kashmir. The resolution also laid emphasis on multi-strategic approach to achieve the goals of struggle.
