HIGH COURT BAR ASSOCIATION ISSUES SHOW CAUSE NOTICES TO FOUR MEMBERS
Srinagar Feb 08 (Only Kashmir): High Court Bar Association has asked Advocates, Nazir Ahmad Ronga, Mohammad Ashraf Wani, Majid Bashir and Babar Jan Qadri to explain why they appeared in courts on February 7 despite the Association decision to boycott the work on the day.
In separate notices to all the four, the Bar president Mian Abdul Qayoom has written: “It has been reported to me that you have caused your appearances in the High Court on 07-02-2012 in violation of the decision taken by the Bar Association.”
“You are, therefore, hereby asked to show cause as to why you have appeared in the courts on the day when it had been decided and also notified in advance that no member shall cause his appearance before the courts on 07-02-2012. Your reply should reach to me, within a period of one week from the date of issue of this notice, failing which it will be presumed that you have nothing to say in your defense,” it added. (OK)
