TWO CREDIT CARD HACKERS ARRESTED IN KASHMIR
Srinagar, Feb 03 (Only Kashmir): Pattan police arrested two Credit Card fraudsters involved in fraud Credit Card transaction worth 24 Lacs.
Two fraudsters Afaq Ahmad Zargar son of Bashir Ahmad Zargar resident of Ahmad Nagar Srinagar & Muzaffar Ahmad Wani son of Nazir Ahmad Wani resident of Buspora Srinagar owners of a Computer Sale outlet A .M. Group at Pattan were apprehended by Pattan police.
The duo used fake Credit Cards to dupe the bank to the tune of about Rs. 24 Lakhs. All the credit cards were swapped at the POS machine installed at A .M. Group. The transactions were made through international credit cards only, from 19th Decmber,2011 to 24th December 2011. Preliminary enquiry reveals that the persons whose credit cards were used, had in fact never visited the valley but their passport and visa copies were used as proof of the transactions. The Credit Cards used in these transaction belonging to persons from Canada, USA, Great Britain &Brazil were used.
Pattan police has taken cognizance and registered a case under section 420, 468, 471 RPC. Investigation is on and efforts are on way to nab the chain of the fraudsters. The handy work of some persons outside the state is also suspected.(OK)
