BIRTH CENTENARY OF FAIZ AHMAD FAIZ BEING CELEBRATED IN KASHMIR
Srinagar April 02 (Only Kashmir): The Jammu and Kashmir State is celebrating the birth centenary of late Faiz Ahmed Faiz for which J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages has drawn out a programme and the first event was held on February 21, 2011 at K L Sehgal Hall.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Revenue, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani while replying to a question by Mr. M. Y. Taing in Legislative Council today.
The Minister said more programmes are being held in the shape of seminars, poetic symposia, painting competition on the couplets and a special number of Sheeraza Urdu is being brought out to be dedicated to the life and works of the late poet.
