APCH demanded India to withdrawal of troops & repeal of black laws
Srinagar, August 21 (Only Kashmir): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani have urged India to withdraw its troops from occupied Kashmir, repeal black laws and release Kashmiri detainees to create conducive atmosphere for resolving the Kashmir dispute.
The APHC Chairman in a media interview in Srinagar maintained that India’s intransigence was the main hurdle in resolving the lingering dispute. The Mirwaiz, who has been placed under house arrest, emphasised that Kashmir was a political dispute, which could be resolved through dialogue process involving Pakistan, India and the Kashmiri people.
Syed Ali Gilani in a separate interview said that meaningful dialogue was the only way of settling the Kashmir dispute but that was only possible when India accepted Jammu and Kashmir as disputed territory. He deplored that on one hand, New Delhi offered talks, while on the other, it described Jammu and Kashmir as its integral part.
