NO PEACE IN SOUTH ASIA WITHOUT KASHMIR SETTLEMENT: MIRWAIZ UMAR FAROOQ
Srinagar, August 20 (Only Kashmir): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has reiterated that peace in South Asia will remain elusive if the Kashmir dispute is not resolved in accordance with Kashmiris’ aspirations.
The APHC Chairman addressing a public gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, 20 August 2010, appealed to the international community to play an effective role in settling the Kashmir dispute without any further delay. He demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiri detainees. Later, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq led a big procession from Jamia Masjid to Nowhatta Chowk, where a peaceful sit-in was staged.
