Police damaged Abdul Ahad Jan’s kidney in custody’

Srinagar, August 22 (Only Kashmir): In occupied Kashmir, the family of local police officer, Abdul Ahad Jan, who flung a shoe at Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah on August 15 during a function, has said that he has developed kidney failure after he was beaten ruthlessly by the police in custody.
Talking to media men, Jan’s son, Showkat Jan said that during the custody, his father was beaten to pulp. "They have run over his chest and stomach with boots on. This has caused his kidney failure,"
