Freelance journalist beaten up by CRPF and J&K Police

Senior Journalist associated with Kashmir Media Watch & other News agencies, Rameez Makhdomi was beaten up ruthlessly by CRPF & J & K Police at his residence located at Buchpora Illahi Bagh. The Press fraternity has condemned this act and termed it attack on the freedom of Press. He appealed all those persons, parties and scribes who believe in freedom of Press should oppose this action and stand with victim journalist.
Eye witness said that CRPF use their power without any rule and regulation and starting beating Rameez Makhdomi after they know that victim is associated with Press.
Meanwhile journalist suffered injuries in left arm while he was brutally beaten up by the CRPF and J&K Police.
Several other localities of Srinagar including Rajouri Kadal, Nowhatta, Mahraj Gunj, Maisuma, Lal Chowk and all most Main Stops of Districts have reported these types of events in the ongoing unrest.
