Plantation drive by 137 Bn CRPF
Udhampur, Aug-25:-As a part of its endeavors to increase green cover in Udhampur and its peripheral areas,
137 Bn of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today launched a massive plantation drive.
Deputy Commandant, Mr. O.P Pandey formally launched the drive by planting a sapling of ornamental plant in the premises of SRTC complex Udhampur this morning.
Among others Sub Inspector 137, Bn CRPF, Mr. Bhupal Singh, Range Officer, Social Forestry, Udhampur, Mr. Chuni Lal Sharma, Block Officer, Social Forestry Udhampur, besides Jawans of CRPF also took part in the plantation drive.
Giving the detail of plantation drive, Dy. Commandant, Mr. Pandey informed that as many as one thousand plants of different species including medicinal, ornamental, shady trees and fruit plants would be planted in Jakhani, Batal Balliya and Dhramthal CRPF camps for making the camp sites more environmental friendly.
