Rajouri Sep 18 (Only Kashmir): Responsible for maintaining peace and communal brotherhood in Rajouri during recent unrest and demonstrations, Muslim Coordination Committee Rajouri boycotted Chief Ministers meet which was held here in the Dak Banglow. MCC was of the opinion that those who have played real role were not given due weightage and Chief Minister invited only political leaders who had shown almost no role in defusing tension in the area.
In a press statement issued here, MCC President Abdul Qayoom Dar has said they boycotted Chief Minister Meet in Rajouri. He said that although there was no politician in the area during grim situation and his organization with the support of other Muslim, Hindu and Sikh organizations played role in defusing tension but nobody acknowledged it and those who had no role were invited in the meeting.
Dar said that Chief Minister must have invited those who have played actual role in maintaining peace and avoiding violence in the area and they have given preference to politicians over the actual tension defusers. “This hurt our people and they decided to boycott the Chief Minister meet”, Dar said adding that there should have been proper invitation to the MCC leaders,Muslim welfare Association leaders, Muslim Youth Federation Leaders, Doodhadhari Ashram leaders, Beopar Mandal leaders and religious representatives of Hindu, Muslim and Sikh communities who played vital role during the last one week to maintain peace in the area.
