OMAR ABDULLAH ASKED TO ACT UPON HIS ASSERTIONS

Srinagar, Oct 08 (Only Kashmir): In occupied Kashmir, pro-freedom leaders have asked the puppet Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to act on what he says in view of his description of Kashmir’s accession as temporary and conditional..
The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar, while reacting to the statement of the puppet chief minister, urged Omar Abdullah to follow his words.
He said, “It is a fact accepted even by the United Nations that election in the territory do not affect the disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir and Omar Abdullah has accepted the fact.” However, he added that it needed to be seen whether he stood by what he had stated in the assembly.
The APHC Chairman said that the United Nations had repeatedly said that elections would have no impact on the status of Jammu and Kashmir and the puppet chief minister too accepted it.
Veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement said that the remarks by puppet Chief Minister terming Kashmir as an international issue in the so-called Assembly has vindicated the stance of the Hurriyet.
He said the fact that Kashmir is a dispute is a stark truth that even Omar Abdullah had to unwillingly or willingly acknowledge. He said that the Kashmir dispute in its historical perspective was so strong that it kept on reverberating from Kashmir Assembly to the United Nations.
APHC senior leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi said that the time had come that the puppet chief minister translated his words into reality. India too should show such an approach, he added.
The chief of Jamat-e-Islami, Sheikh Muhammad Hassan in a statement said that the worth of Omar Abdullah’s remarks would be proved only when the Kashmir dispute was resolved in the spirit of his statement.
Omar Abdulla had told the assembly that Kashmir is an international issue and cannot be addressed through development, employment or good governance and Kashmiris also should be involved in the discussions on their future.
